About Mary Maney
I’m a local and proud of it!
I always thought it strange that many of my friends growing up just wanted to get out of Delaware County. I would always ask: “Why would you ever want to leave?” Why would anyone leave such a beautiful and friendly place- a place where nature is as much your neighbor as the wonderful warm people who live here.
My parents wanted out of the city life. They found, fell in love with and eventually moved to Delhi in 1972 where they purchased The Jimney Cricket Restaurant (which we renamed the Village Inn). I was literally raised in the restaurant, with customers who fast became close family friends and played a hand in my up bringing. It was a wonderful time. I’m told that even as a toddler I loved to be around people and to help serve them.
After graduating from Delaware Academy in 1993 I started working full time as a Pharmacy Technician. Then on to managing a retail store followed by managerial work at an active dental practice. It seems that since I’ve stared working, in one way or another I’ve been helping the same friends and neighbors year after year.
In 2001 I came to work for and with Frank Lumia Real Estate Plus!. (Chances are when you call our Delhi office it’ll be my voice that greets you.) With this career move I once again found myself in a position to work with neighbors and friends.
I help some to rent and operate their properties and others find places to call home. I help others to find suitable spaces to create their art, conduct their business or store those things they just can’t seem to part with. Managing almost 100 rental units brings me in contact with students, individuals and families of all sizes. It’s gratifying to be able to help them find suitable, affordable housing.
It’s also my job to help co-ordinate all the little (and not so little) daily tasks necessary to keep a “well-oiled machine” running. About the people I work with this much I’ll say you will never find a more professional or friendly staff.
