Hobart is a village in Delaware County, New York, United States. The population was 441 at the 2010 census.[1] The village is in the town ofStamford and is on New York Route 10 in the northeast part of the county.

Hobart was named for Bishop Hobart.[2]

Geography and Education

Hobart is located in the north-central part of the town of Stamford at42°22′17″N 74°40′7″W (42.371251, -74.668481),[3] along the upper reaches of the West Branch Delaware River.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.50 square miles (1.3 km2), of which 0.01 square miles (0.02 km2), or 1.38%, is water.[1]
